Chantael is a synonym for clean beauty which truly benefits your skin, making it glow inside out but also helping it to breathe, as it is chemical-free. But, beyond the colors, the textures and tests, our story happened under feelings that can only begin amazing, fulfilling endeavors: Compassion, commitment, constancy and utter love, this one being a mother daughter kind of love.
It was 1991 when my daughter started using makeup, but common beauty products, more than highlighting her features, only gave her allergic reactions like rashes, itching, and pimples, conditions which only discouraged her and made her feel excluded (it felt as if all women could enjoy the magic of applying shades and glimmer on their faces but her). I soon realized her skin was very sensitive, so we both decided to go on a beauty pursuit, trying so to find makeup which not only was allergy-free, but could also be made in its entirety with safe ingredients.
However, it took a long time to discover the treasure of wildlife, as makeup products were all made with the same old chemical formulations. Almost 18 years later, we finally witnessed a change. Organic, natural-sourced makeup was making its steps in the beauty universe, and when my daughter wore it, the results appeared right away: Her skin was free of spots, while also looking radiant & soft. She was now able to color up her face, express her personality, and feel a powerful boost of self-confidence. The difference this caused in my daughter’s self-esteem (and on her everyday life), inspired me to take action. I didn’t only want to own organic makeup, I wanted to get involved and make it easier to find; I wanted to help the girls who were searching for products that made them look good, but also made their skin feel clean, unfiltered. This is how Chantael began, and now into the present, we couldn’t be prouder of everything we’ve done to offer clean makeup whose ingredients are nothing but a true extension of their origin, a homage to Mother Nature who gives us everything we need to live a healthy life.
